Satatya is a graduate of Chanakya National Law University, Patna. He previously worked as a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution Team at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, based in its Delhi-NCR office. He brings extensive experience across advisory, litigation, and arbitration matters.
His practice focuses on media and entertainment disputes, civil and commercial litigation and advisory, insolvency law, general corporate matters, white-collar crime (including criminal appellate work), debt recovery, and arbitration. Over the years, he has advised and represented leading industrial groups and corporations, including JSW, Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL), Renault India, Hyundai, Sephora India, Samrat Cinematics, Sunflag Iron and Steel Ltd., Shah Alloys Limited, IDBI Bank, HDFC, NHAI, and other public and private sector undertakings.
Satatya has been closely involved in successful bidding processes and acquisitions of companies undergoing liquidation, including the acquisition of Kwality Ltd. for JSPL. His experience also includes advising a Singapore-based international conglomerate on strategic insolvency and restructuring matters in India, as well as representing its directors in multiple criminal proceedings. He has also acted in a high-profile family dispute concerning the estate of Mr. Abhey Kumar Oswal (Oswal Greentech and Oswal Agro), advising Mrs. Aruna Oswal.
He regularly appears before the Supreme Court of India, the Delhi High Court, Bombay High Court, Allahabad High Court, Debt Recovery Tribunals (DRT), Debt Recovery Appellate Tribunals (DRAT), Consumer Courts, the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), and various arbitral tribunals and district courts across the country.
